Entering an 'Action' or Movement for a Batch of Animals

'Actions' cover services, transfers, TB Tests, weighing and the Scottish Beef Calf Scheme. They can be found by clicking 'Actions' on the left list bar or by clicking the Entries drop down menu at the top of the screen.

To enter a new Action / Movement for a batch of animals

• Select the Action (or Movement) you wish to carry out from the list bar on the left.
• Click 'New' at the top of the screen.
• Fill in the boxes applicable to the Action that you have chosen (i.e. date and time, etc.).
• When the boxes have all been filled in, click the 'Select Animals' button on the bottom left.
• The Animal Selection window will show with all your animals listed.
• If 'Groups' is not displayed on the left, click 'Advanced' on the top of the window.
• Click the + next to 'Groups' to see Herds and Batches. Click the + again to see the herds or batches that you have set up.
• Tick the herd or batch that has been treated, moved, etc. and click 'Select All' at the top.
• All the animals in the list should be ticked.
• Click 'OK' then click 'Save' on the main Action page.
