Why is my Barcode Scanner not working?

If your barcode scanner is plugged in and it bleeps when you scan a passport, but nothing appears on the screen, it is probably because the program is not 'looking' at the port that the scanner is plugged into.
To alter the Port Settings in Cattle Manager:
- From the Tools Menu (at the top of the screen) select 'Options'.
- Click the 'Barcode Scanner' tab.
- The barcode scanner can either be connected using a USB port or by using a Serial port. Firstly choose the connection type by clicking in the button to the left of the option.
- If using a Serial port, users must then select which COMM port the program should connect to. Select the appropriate one from the drop down menu.
- Click 'Save' and then 'Close' to exit the 'Options' screen.
