Creating a claim for SBCS & exporting it to SEERAD Online

Instructions:

• To include animals in the scheme select 'Actions' in the list bar and click on 'New' from the main screen bar.
• Alternatively, select 'Scottish Beef Calf Scheme' from the 'Premium Claims' on the 'Entries' drop down menu.
• Click 'New' and enter the date, time and type of action.
• Click 'Select Animals'.
• Animals will only appear for selection if the holding the animals were born on is a Scottish holding. Your holding should have been entered as 'Scottish holding' when you set the business up.
• (If no animals appear, close out of the claim, select 'Other' from the List Bar on the left, click into 'Holdings and Locations', select your main holding from the list and tick the box 'Scottish holding'. Once the holding has been changed, repeat the steps above.)
• Once the animals have been selected, click OK. This will return you to the previous screen.
• You can either Save as normal and go into Reports to print off your form, or click 'Save as XML' which will then allow you to tick 'Claim Lodged' once you have emailed your XML file.

To Export the XML File to SEERAD Online:

• When saving the XML file, make a note of the location that you are saving to.
• Log onto SEERAD Online: www.scotfarmonline.gov.uk
• Click the 'SEERAD Online' icon
• Enter your Gateway User ID and Password. Click Login.
• Select 'Scottish Beef Calf Scheme'.
• Select 'Claim Form' next to 'Start new claim or continue with a saved claim'.
• To the right of the screen is 'Farm Software Upload'. Click on 'Browse' to find the location of the XML file that you saved earlier. Click 'Upload'.
• Once you have filled in all the relevant details, go to 'Submit claim'.
• An electronic receipt will be displayed for printing once the claim is submitted.
