The purpose of this window is to import weights from a Tru-Test 2000 or 3000 weighing machines.
This allows you to import the weights from the machine saving you having to manually add the weights into the program. Once the weights have been imported, the record cards of animals included will be updated to show their weights. The event will also be recorded in Actions and Weighings and all relevant reports will be updated.
If your animals are electronically tagged and the Electronic Identifications (EID's) are in Cattle Manager, the program will automatically try and link to the EID's held in the weigher.
If your animals are electronically tagged but the EID's are not in Cattle Manager and your tag supplier provides you with a file (tag bucket), these EID's can be imported see: Imported Electronic Tags.
If your animals are not electronically tagged, we advise you always use the last four digits of the animal number as the ID on the Tru-Test Weigher to link to the animal records within Cattle Manager. N.B. Once the animal has been linked in Cattle Manager to Tru-Test, the program will always hold this link, therefore it is wise not to use different ID's on the Tru-Test next time you weigh the animals.
