Initialising a New Cropping Year

A new harvest year is necessary to a) enter details for the following season, and b) to plan the cropping for that year. To run the new year is a simple procedure and one that can be undone if required. To run a new year:

  • Click on the setup menu at the top of the screen and select 'Initialise new cropping year'.
  • Highlight any split fields or permanent cropping from the current year list, which will remain the same in the new year.
  • Enter a name for the new year. For example, for the 2007 harvest year, enter the year name as 2006/07.
  • Check that the correct STANdard harvest year is selected.
  • Click on 'Initialise new year'.

A new harvest year will have been created. You will still be able to work in the previous year, but you will also be able to enter a crop plan and any treatments for the new year.
