Many reports may be exported in different formats to alternative programs such as spreadsheets where the figures may be manipulated according to the user's requirements. If it is not appropriate to export a particular report, this option will be greyed out.
Before exporting:
Before exporting, you should consider whether you wish to include the data hierarchy information (i.e. band and group details) with the export. Go to Tools - Options - click on the Reporting tab.
Export Heading Band and Group Details - This option determines whether the details of data hierarchy are included when reports are exported e.g. to an Excel Spreadsheet. If this box is left blank i.e. the details are not included; the report will be exported as it stands with no extra information about how the figures are calculated. However, if a tick is entered, the data will be exported with some extra fields to help you identify the order of display and the mechanism of grouping within the report. This will assist in deciding which figures are to be grouped and summed.
The exact fields included vary according to the type of report but may include:

To export a report:
- Go into the Report Library. Highlight the report you want to export.
- Select the 'More' button at the bottom of the screen.
- From the drop down list next to the 'Export' button, select the format that you wish the report to be exported in. If you select 'Formatted Excel Export' the routine will automatically start Microsoft Excel for you.
