Report layouts

There are several reports that allow you to rearrange their layout by moving the columns around and changing their widths, e.g. the items inspector, daybook listing and the bank reconciliation.

Arranging a report to see the columns in the order you would like:

• Go into the Items Inspector (for example) and choose the items that you want to report on i.e. Profit & Loss, heading band - Sales, enterprise - Youngstock 05.
• Click the 'View Items' button at the bottom left.
• The transactions will be displayed in a spreadsheet format.
• When your mouse pointer is hovered over one of the column headings (highlighted in purple boxes) a black, downward arrow should be displayed.
• Click and drag the column header sideways with the arrow. The column header you are moving should change to green (or yellow in the Bank Rec or Daybook)as you move it.
• Release your mouse button to 'drop' the column in the position you want.
• Do this for as many columns as you wish.
• Click the 'Report' button to see the items displayed on the standard, preset report layout.
• On exiting the Bank Rec or Daybook, you will get a message asking whether you want to save the current settings for the form. If you do not want the columns to remain in the positions that you have selected, click 'No'.

If you wish to return the layout of these reports to the Farmplan default

• Got to Windows Explorer.
• Find the folder containing Farm Business Manager (e.g. c:\FBM3).
• Look for a file called fbm.ini and double click on it.
• This will open up a notepad document with all the current report settings. Delete the ones you require. You will do no harm by deleting the entire contents of this file if necessary. It does not affect cheque calibration settings.
• Remember to 'Save'.
• This will affect the layout for all sets of data as accessed by this machine or workstation only.
