Registering the Program with a Key Disk
The Key Disk is a registration disk supplied with the Business Manager program and should be kept in a safe place. This will either be a floppy disk or a CD.
It contains several important pieces of information including your Customer Name, Customer Number and the level and version of the program you are running. Once registered, these details can be found in 'Help' along the top tool bar, in 'About'.
Immediately after installing the Business Manager program for the first time you will need to register the program using your Key Disk. You will also need to re-register every time you re-install the program and subsequent updates.
If you upgrade to a higher level or have purchased an additional module, you will be issued with a new Key Disk. We would recommend that you dispose of any old Key Disks to prevent them getting mixed up.
Registering from a floppy disk:
- Go to 'File', 'Register'.
- You will be asked to insert your Key Disk into the floppy disk drive.
- Now click the 'Register' button. This will confirm your registration details and you can click 'Yes' to proceed.
- Once complete, you can click on 'Close' to return to the main screen and it will now be ready to use.
