Precision farming equipment enables you to apply the correct amount of fertiliser or chemicals to only those areas that require it. Efficient usage of fertiliser and chemicals means you can save money.
The equipment can instruct the tractor and implements meaning they only travel the necessary distance. This can save on fuel and servicing costs.
Yield maps, Soil analysis, "N" sense and more can be used as a basis for the variable rate application plan. The variable application maps and plans can be
transferred from GateKeeper to controllers in the cab e.g. John Deere Greenstar or handheld devices e.g. Trimble Nomad. The equipment uses this information for
automatic application.
The device will record the completed operation, updating the yield maps and
variable applications. The records can then be imported from the device back into
GateKeeper, saving time on manual data entry. For contractors this can provide proof of application and confirm the accurate area applied for invoicing.
